While conducting massive research for the future of Flippin’ Factory, I’ve come across several resources that I think you may find very useful. As Furniture DIYers I think FABRIC may be at the top of your list. The following will begin an on-going list of eco-friendly fabrics. If you know of any others, please leave your comment and I will add them.
Rubie Green: www.rubiegreen.com: Created by designer Michelle Adams, Rubie Green’s mission is to dress your surroundings in fabrics that represent vitality, energy, comfort, and style all while maintaining respect to the environment by using only 100% organic cotton. In addition their fabrics are whitened without bleach and printed with water-based, non-toxic inks in the U.S.
Modern Fabrics www.modern-fabrics.com: Based in North Carolina, this company rescues fabric from the cutting room floor left over from heavy projects. What’s great is that they offer the fabrics at 50%-75% off the original price. You can shop by new arrival, brand, pattern, and yardage.
